InstructKG is a framework that automatically constructs knowledge graphs from course materials to capture learning dependencies and aid personalized learning.
Understanding educational concepts often requires knowing their prerequisites and sub-concepts, which can be challenging in large courses where instructors can't easily identify each student's needs. InstructKG is a new tool that creates knowledge graphs from lecture materials to map out the intended learning progression of a course. By identifying key concepts and their relationships, this framework helps tailor learning experiences to individual students. The approach leverages both the sequence and context of topics within course materials and the power of large language models to ensure accurate and useful representations.
